Ahead of Mobile World Congress next week, where Samsung and others are expected to introduce the first 2018 flagships, Google is teasing the announcement of the first Oreo (Go edition) and more Android One devices from partners.

"Starting next week, you'll see the first set of Android Oreo (Go edition) phones, and soon after they'll be available for you to purchase", said Hiroshi Lockheimer, SVP, Platforms & Ecosystems at Google, in a statement. Although most details remain unknown at the moment, we have some information that will make your wait easier as well as remove a few uncertainties over the status of Go phones. The program, according to Google, establishes best practices and certain common requirements for Android devices and related services.
