TVS launches Bluetooth connected 125cc scooter

The company introduced the new Apache RR 310 a few weeks back and now TVS has launched the new modern NTORQ 125 scooter just ahead of the Auto Expo 2018.

The NTorq is the production version of the Graphite concept showcased earlier at the Auto Expo.

After a successful run in the 110cc scooter segment with the Scooty, Wego and Jupiter range, TVS Motor Company on Monday stepped into the 125cc scooter segment in India with the launch of the NTorq 125. The scooter is believed to be christened as NTorq 125, the scooter has been spied testing on the Indian roads previously.

The scooter boasts an exclusive technology platform - TVS SmartXonnect*, which makes the NTORQ the first connected scooter. "It is a great addition to our scooter portfolio".

The new model is the country's first Bluetooth technology connected scooter that also offers navigation assistance, mobile phone connectivity, engine oil temperature display on the speedometer and other features. "With exciting design and smart features, we are confident that the NTorq 125 will carve a niche in the scooter segment across the globe". Moreover, the company also released a teaser video of the scooter which gives an impression on the exhaust note which sounds quite heavy and loud. Powered by a 125cc, three-valve, air-cooled, single cylinder engine that produces 9.4PS and 10.5Nm, TVS claims the scooter can sprint upto a top speed of 95kmph. The newest TVS scooter has a 1,285mm wheelbase, 155mm ground clearance and 116.1kg of kerb weight. The scooter comes fitted with telescopic suspension up front and gas-filled hydraulic-type coil-spring shock absorbers at the rear. The front wheel gets ventilated petal disc while the rear wheel gets drum brake.

Equipped with unique Daytime Running Lamps (DRL), TVS NTORQ 125 is available in the colour selection of Matte Yellow, Matte Green, Matte Red and Matte White. The Ntorq 125 will primarily compete with the Honda Grazia and the upcoming Aprilia SR125.
