After Andhra Pradesh (AP), the centre might find itself facing heat from Telangana MPs in Parliament as well over issues similar to the ones that AP lawmakers have been protesting, including development funding and bifurcation promises. "It is my belief that if the opposition stands united on this issue, we can force the BJP government to do justice to the people of Andhra", Gandhi tweeted.
"To secure our rightful demand of SCS, every MP from the State must put AP first and resign from Parliament if SCS is not granted", he said.
The YSR Congress, along with 2,000 Andhrites studying and working in Delhi and other cities, also held a dharna at Parliament Street here to demand the special status for their state.
