The order follows the fatal crash last week involving a self-driving Uber and pedestrian in Tempe, AZ.

And more than a week later, there are more opinions than answers about the fatal crash involving the self-driving Uber passenger vehicle in Arizona.

On Saturday, John Krafcik, the chief executive of Alphabet Inc.'s self-driving arm Waymo, was quoted as saying that his company's autonomous auto software could have averted the accident. Uber has commented on the same via Twitter, saying that they are continuing the co-operation with the investigators and will be addressing any concerns the Governor's office could have.

An autonomously-operating Uber struck and killed a pedestrian on March 18 in the U.S. state of Arizona.

Speaking to reporters after resigning, Khan said he chose to walk out of JD (S) because it has become "a party of oneupmanship". The Congress won 122 seats in the 2013 polls and this year, the survey gave 126 seats to the ruling party of the state.

In the letter, Ducey said the footage raised "many questions about the ability of Uber to continue testing in Arizona".

The Uber self-driving vehicle programme in Arizona has been halted by the state governor, Doug Ducey.

Exterior video shows the Uber auto driving at night when the vehicle's headlights suddenly illuminate Herzberg, who is walking her bike in the street, outside of any crosswalks. Court records show someone with the same name and birthdate as Vasquez spent more than four years in prison for two felony convictions - for making false statements when obtaining unemployment benefits and attempted armed robbery - before starting work as an Uber driver. In this case the driver does appear to have had sufficient time to have either have stopped the vehicle or try to avert the collision.

Baidu said that before conducting tests on public roads, autonomous vehicles using its Apollo system would go through simulation tests as well as trials on closed courses.

Uber Technologies Inc. disabled the standard collision-avoidance technology in the Volvo SUV that struck and killed a woman in Arizona March 18, according to the auto-parts maker that supplied the vehicle's radar and camera.

Many other companies have a license to test the self-driving cars on roads in the US. "Uber is assisting and this is still an active investigation".

Uber has yet to submit a safety letter to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration but said it is in the process of doing so. Amnon Shashua talks about autonomous vehicle technology and the wider reality around it, not the least of which is transparency. He said he expects public safety to be the top priority for those who operate self-driving cars. While Uber temporarily suspended the automatic vehicles, the self-driving feature directly threatens innocent pedestrians, users of the app, and the driving jobs that provide income for about 16,000 Uber employees.
