The Education Body CBSE, which has been ignoring complaints related to the reports that some question papers were leaked for days, had to cancel on Monday two question papers which includes the economics exam of Class 12.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is the apex board that looks after the development and propagation of secondary and higher secondary education in India.

The papers of the Economics exam of class 12 held on March 26 and Maths exam of class 10 held on March 28 were leaked on social media hours before the examination.

Dates for fresh examinations and other details shall be hosted on the CBSE website within a week, the report said.

Panic had gripped students of Class 12 following claims on social media that the economics paper had been leaked even though the CBSE denied there was any slip up.

Following the reports of leak, the CBSE has already announced a re-examination for the two subjects for the respective classes. These question papers were leaked a day before the exam. "Dates for re-examination will be announced soon", Karwal told ANI. "Eleven schoolchildren, seven college students, five tutors and two private persons have been questioned so far", said a senior police officer.

Earlier, in a series of tweets, Rahul Gandhi said, "The exam leaks destroy the hopes and futures of millions of students".

Students, meanwhile, took to the streets in Delhi against the CBSE and have demanded that the matter be probed and the guilty brought to book.
