Two Cricket South Africa executives have been photographed at the second test posing alongside spectators wearing Sonny Bill Williams masks, worn as a ploy to taunt Australian opener and vice-captain David Warner.

Eksteen is CSA's head of commercial and marketing, while Kazi is the body's head of communications.

He is now a figure of hate in South Africa after his confrontation with South Africa wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock in a fractious first test in Durban last weekend.

Cricket Australia is understood to be furious with the conduct of Eksteen and Kazi, stunned that officials would be OK with the low-brow actions of supporters.

Dáil Concludes Debate On Bill Enabling Referendum On The 8th Amendment
According to RTE, Taoiseach Leo Varadkar said: "On my first day as Taoiseach I committed to holding a referendum this year". The referendum, slated for the end of May, will be putting a possible repeal of the Eighth Amendment to the Irish people.

The reason behind this mask being the controversial one is Warner's wife Candice was once associated with Williams in a well-publicised incident in Sydney in 2007.

CSA's statement quoted president Chris Nenzani as saying‚ "On behalf of CSA I extend my honest apologies to the board of Cricket Australia‚ its officials‚ team management‚ players and their families".

Alerted on social media that the masks were going to be brought to the game on Friday, the Australians wanted security measures taken.

"'On behalf of CSA I extend my honest apologies to the Board of Cricket Australia (CA), its officials, team management, players and their families', commented CSA President Chris Nenzani".

Warner's wife was involved in a tryst with New Zealand rugby player Sonny Bill Williams over 10 years ago.

The mask saga in Port Elizabeth is the latest incident to overshadow the cricket contest between two of the leading teams in the world, a series which was expected to be fierce but has been undermined by verbal exchanges between players, off-field incidents, and resulting disciplinary cases.

There have been repercussions for Nathan Lyon and Kagiso Rabada, a foul-mouthed dispute between De Kock and and Warner, ball tampering allegations, and now this.
