Nixon has been working with two consultants with Mayor de Blasio's political team - Rebecca Katz and Bill Hyers, the station reported.

Nixon, who appeared in the television series "Sex and the City", has been in talks with campaign operatives about challenging Cuomo for the Democratic nomination in September, multiple news outlets have reported.

The 51-year-old actress is best known for her portrayal of Miranda Hobbes, the frisky but cynical lawyer who romped through six seasons and two movies of "Sex and the City".
