Prince Harry, Meghan Markle invite 2640 to watch their wedding day arrival

Two hundred people from charities and organisations associated with the prince and Ms Markle as well as 100 pupils from two local schools will also be invited.

Britain's Prince Harry and his wife-to-be Meghan Markle will invite more than 2 500 members of the public to take part in their wedding day celebrations in May, his office said on Friday.

This, of course, is in-line with both Harry and Meghan's passion for inspiring and supporting younger generations.

The palace said Harry and Markle wanted "members of the public to feel part of the celebrations, too".

The couple will marry at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle at midday on May 19. All those guests will have the honor of watching the bride and groom arrive and depart, but not all will be at the ceremony itself [VIDEO].

As for the famous faces that are to attend the royal wedding, Ed Sheeran and Elton John are presumed to be on the guest list and Mel B recently hinted that she and the other members of the Spice Girls will be there!

The couple's guests from their wedding ceremony will enjoy a reception at St. George's Hall, Windsor on the afternoon of May 19 2018. The 1,900 guests at Westminster Abbey included around 1,000 friends and family members along with foreign diplomats and leaders, religious leaders and 80 people who worked for charities supported by the Prince.

"Markle would like their wedding to be shaped to allow members of the public to share in the joy and the fun of the day", the statement read.

We've all been to a number of weddings in our lifetime, but they most likely weren't royal no matter how lavish or extravagant they were. There's global interest in Harry and Meghan's wedding and there will be tens of thousands of people in Windsor and a huge police presence.
