DICE Is Apparently Working On A Battlefield 5 Battle Royale Mode

Epic Games has announced that it will remove the Guided Missile weapon from Fortnite Battle Royale. According to the rumor, DICE is prototyping a battle royale mode for the forthcoming Battlefield 5 release later this year but the feature remains in testing and may or may not be included in Battlefield 5. Both of those factors come from the battle royale game mode. We are sorry to inform you that Fortnite Battle Royale Will be coming to an end May 24, 2018.

Epic uses that "vault" metaphor for items it removes from Fortnite; other vaulted items include Smoke Grenades and standard Submachine Guns (not to be confused with Tactical or Suppressed Submachine Guns, which are still in the game). Grubb also adds that "EA could cancel the prototype, it could hold it off for the launch of the next Battlefield or a Star Wars: Battlefront sequel, or it could spin it out into its own game".
