Local law enforcement agencies participate in National Drug Take Back

A bag of pills that a person dropped off at the drug take-back station in the Back Bay parking lot. The DEA reports your old meds could lead to accidental poisoning, abuse or an overdose.

National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is on April 28th.Several people dropped off their dated and unused prescriptions at the Michigan State Police.

"We wanted to get everything done and cleared out so the house would be safe", said Tom Derr.

They collected unwanted or expired medications to prevent them from being improperly discarded.
