Xiaomi 'Mi Crowdfunding' platform launched in India

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has announced a new program called Mi Crowdfunding in India.

Apart from the open sale, customers can also avail a five percent instant discount on purchases with SBI credit cards, Rs 2,200 instant cashback, and 100GB additional data with Jio, and 90 percent discount (up to Rs 400) on Kindle book purchases, when used alongside the purchase of the phone. Various discount vouchers on Goibibo such as discount of Rs 600 on the minimum booking of Rs 6000 on domestic flights and flat 20% discount on domestic hotels are also major highlights on the website homepage.

The Redmi Y1 Lite along with the Redmi Y1 Like soft case will sell at just Rs 249. The Mi Selfie Stick Tripod comes at a price of Rs 1,099, a Rs 100 cheaper when bought off crowdfunding.

The first two products that the company has brought to the platform in India is and Mi Bluetooth Audio Receiver White and Mi Selfie Stick Tripod Blackpriced at Rs 999 and Rs 1,099 respectively. The sale is now underway and, as per the Amazon app, will be held until 11:59pm today, April 6.
