Qatar has condemned the bombing of a mosque in eastern Afghanistan's province of Khost on Sunday, which caused several deaths and injured worshippers. "The blast happened while people were busy with prayers, meanwhile in other part of the mosque people had gathered to get their voter-registration cards for the election", he added.

Earlier in the day, Reuters said that the explosive devices had more probably been activated remotely rather than by a suicide bomber.
