Gerrard, speaking for BT Sport prior to the Champions League semi-final second leg between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, claimed that the talks between him and Rangers' top brass have been "positive". "I'm busy for the next couple of days but we'll pick it up on Thursday and see if we can progress it".

The job would represent a huge task for the inexperienced 37-year-old considering that he has never managed at senior level.

Rangers relieved Graeme Murty of his duties as manager on Tuesday following a 5-0 drubbing away at Celtic at the weekend which saw the Bhoys clinch their seventh consecutive Scottish league title.

Gerrard is widely expected to be given the nod following Murty's dismissal and has been locked in talks with the Scottish Premiership side.

Dhoni urges Super Kings bowlers to improve their death overs effort
While the rest of the bowlers struggled to contain the runs, Khan gave away just 28 runs from his four overs. Dhoni (51* off 22) showed his devastating touch in the last five overs which produced 74 runs.

Murty's tenure at Rangers has been under severe scrutiny in recent weeks, with Kenny Miller and Lee Wallace having been suspended following an alleged disagreement with the manager in the aftermath of the cup defeat to Celtic.

Assistant coaches Jimmy Nicholl and Jonatan Johansson will take over dugout responsibilities for Saturday's home game with Kilmarnock, while Rangers chiefs look to lift the gloom now sitting over Ibrox.

Nicholl, 61, will take the lead role in trying to lead the Ibrox squad through a testing trio of matches.

"The club hopes to be in a position to comment further on the managerial situation in the near future".

Coach "PSG" has announced his departure from the club
They took the French Cup in 2017 and are back in the final this year where they face third-division Les Herbiers on May 8. Emery has been linked with a return to former club Real Sociedad but said he was relaxed about what came next.

"Graeme has had to contend with hard and challenging circumstances but conducted himself in a thoroughly professional manner".

"He will take some time to consider his options, which include returning to his role at the Rangers academy", said the Glasgow club.

"He has cut his teeth at Liverpool with the young lads there and at some point Steven is going to step out of that and go into managing men, managing a first team".

Sharks score late to send Game 3 to overtime
The Vegas Golden Knights had a very easy win in game one of this series, but they were clearly in a dogfight in game two. That was my mindset from the first pitch of the inning, to get ready for a two-out, bases-loaded situation.
