Kane fires Spurs into 3rd spot

The defending was shambolic and the England strikers on both sides were clinical as Tottenham Hotspur ended their stay at Wembley in thrilling style, edging a nine-goal thriller thanks to Harry Kane's 30th league goal of the season.

- This is the eighth occasion Tottenham have come from two goals down to win a Premier League game and the first since March 2014 against Southampton (3-2).

Spurs booked a third successive year in Europe's elite club competition, in a season where they played "home games" at Wembley and all the other teams around them spent massively.

Ireland Test off to dramatic start as Pakistan's Imam injured first ball
Duly reprieved, he went to fifty in just 52 balls, including seven fours, with Shadab following him to the landmark in 89 balls. Pace bowlers Tim Murtagh, Boyd Rankin and Stuart Thompson all took two wickets apiece.

Two goals from Erik Lamela (okay, one was given as a Christian Fuchs own goal, but we're feeling charitable) put Tottenham level on the day, but they needed a win to secure third place with Liverpool beating Brighton easily. Lucas Moura won the ball high up the pitch and released Kane, who raced in on goal and shot past Eldin Jakupovic at the near post.

Two minutes after Iheanacho's effort, Lamela got his first league goal since August 2016 when he tapped home from Kyle Walker-Peters' low cross at the end of a neat move. "It is a shame we saw a good game, a insane game".

After a poor header from Eric Dier, Iheanacho picked the ball up, shrugged off Wanyama's challenge and launched an unstoppable effort from 25 yards that rifled into the top corner.

Leicester did not let their heads slip after the equaliser and found themselves regaining the lead just ten minutes later, when Riyad Mahrez found the bottom corner with a lovely finish from the edge of the box.

It was his 40th goal of the season, the most by a Spurs player since Clive Allen bagged 49 in the mid-1980s. An 19th PL goal of the season from Vardy gave Leicester the lead.

Spurs looked headed for defeat, but an incredible three-goal salvo in 11 minutes turned the game in their favor.

- Kane has reached 30 Premier League goals for the first time in his career - the first Englishman to do so since Kevin Phillips in 1999-2000 (also, 30).
