Paul McCartney drives down memory lane for ‘Carpool Karaoke’

James Corden got unexpectedly emotional in his latest Carpool Karaoke with Paul McCartney, seeing the pair drive around Liverpool singing classics by The Beatles.

During the episode, Sir Paul and James drove around the music legend's hometown of Liverpool, including the iconic Penny Lane and his old barbershop referenced in the song.

McCartney recalled how he "had a dream in the '60s where my mum, who died, came to me in the dream and was reassuring me, saying, 'it's going to be OK".

"That's been one of the unusual things", McCartney, around the five-minute mark in the video up top, told Corden of the lasting impact of the Beatles' message.
