In an official announcement, Qualcomm Technologies's senior vice president and general manager, mobile business unit, Alex Katouzian, enthused the benefits this chip will bring to new devices in the near future.

Celtics' Ainge: Prepared to stand pat this summer (maybe)
Boston landed a young superstar in Kyrie Irving by using Brooklyn's 2018 first-round pick in a separate deal with Cleveland. And with the two injured All-Stars returning, this summer doesn't have to be like last summer.

One of the first manufacturers to use the new chip is Samsung, which will produce Windows 10 PCs with the 850. Qualcomm only showed their big and clunky reference tablet running simple Windows app store games like Asphalt 8.

Nothing has really worked in the long run, and we are in the stage now where screen time is offered as reward for something else. Apple has said before that Dolby Atmos for Apple TV is coming, so rumours suggest it will be announced at this upcoming event.

Qualcomm didn't provide a whole lot in the way of details, but it did say the new chip was made using the same 10-nm process node used to fabricate the SD835 and Snapdragon 845 (SD845). That includes the Kryo 385 CPU, Adreno 630 GPU, Spectra 280 ISP, Hexagon 685 DSP/vector processor (a new naming shift), and the Snapdragon X20 LTE modem. As this is designed for a larger device, it is clocked higher at 2.95 GHz. The company promises up to 30 percent increase in performance, up to three times increase in AI performance, up to 1.2 gigabits per second LTE connectivity speeds, and up to 25 hours of continuous usage. The new Qualcomm X20 LTE modem - Cat.18 LTE - also supports almost all global operators for Gigabit LTE, by reducing the Listed Assisted Access (LAA) licensed requirement to only 10MHz. That means virtual surround sound via the 3.5mm jack or USB Type-C audio. The chipset also supports Microsoft's Machine Learning SDK. The company confirmed alongside Qualcomm at Computex 2018 today that it's going to build its very own Snapdragon-powered Windows PC and will thus join Microsoft's "Always Connected PC" ecosystem. It doesn't completely rewrite the current situation, and I expect we will still find the improved performance to be lacking when compared to Intel, especially when software emulation is utilized.

Canada to impose tariffs on US , challenge at WTO
Tariffs imposed by the United States on steel and aluminum imports from the EU, Canada and Mexico went into effect on Friday. Wick said MA cranberry growers export more than 30 percent of their crop, much of which goes to Europe, Mexico and Canada .

The Snapdragon 850 is built with the "2nd Generation" of 10 nm and Qualcomm was not exhausted to mention that Intel is still on 14 nm and has troubles bringing 10 nm to the market.
