Marca says Barca have sought to armour themselves from any blow-back over Mina's sale by including a buy-back clause in the transfer. "I believe I will be able to show my best as a player here".

Everton have signed Portugal worldwide Andre Gomes on a season-long loan from Barcelona.

Everton's new manager wanted two central defenders before the deadline and was hoping to get his wish with a second loan signing, that of Kurt Zouma from Chelsea. Manchester United academy graduate Michael Keane had failed to be a solution for Everton upon joining from Burnley, while Ashley Williams and Phil Jagielka were clearly past their best.
