Hurricane Florence's Path Toward the East Coast Triggers States' Price-Gouging Laws

Forecasters said Florence could become an extremely unsafe major hurricane sometime Monday and remain that way for days.

More than a million people living along the coastlines of SC and Virginia have been ordered to evacuate their homes on Tuesday, as parts of America's mid-Atlantic coast brace for what could be the most powerful storm to ever hit the region.

Although neither of those situations was ideal, it means SC has gone through moving games before should Florence force it to do so again. Georgia, West Virginia, Maryland, the District of Columbia, Delaware, New Jersey, southern Pennsylvania, and eastern Tennessee, Kentucky, and OH could also see strong winds.

"There is still some uncertainty about the exact location (of landfall). but the confidence is still increasing that Eastern North Carolina will see some pretty significant impacts", Simms said.

Hurricane Florence isn't the only storm churning in the Atlantic Ocean. The hurricane center noted that, when it comes to predicting the path of a hurricane four and five days in the future, it can be off by an average of about 140 and 180 nautical miles.
