Cowboys Trade for Raiders WR Amari Cooper

The Dallas Cowboys have acquired Oakland Raiders receiver Amari Cooper for a first-round draft pick.

While Gruden and the Raiders were panned for the Mack trade, this seems like a trade that they've won as they are quite clearly entering a rebuild in Oakland (as they prepare to move to Las Vegas soon).

The Eagles obviously felt like Cooper wasn't worth losing a first round draft pick.

Erdogan, Trump agree on need to explain Khashoggi’s death
Jubeir was the first senior Saudi official to speak on the record since the Saudis admitted on Saturday that Khashoggi was dead. Trump initially said he believed the Saudi account, but on Saturday he said he still does not know where Khashoggi's body is.

Those teams also don't play in the NFC East, which the Redskins lead with a 4-2 record. It didn't help that he has just 22 catches for 280 yards through six games this season. The passing-game weakness is the clear culprit in the Cowboys' inability to rise to the top of a weak division, and Cooper at least gives them a better chance at legitimate improvement. Despite having been to the Pro Bowl twice in his first two seasons, Cooper is considered to be a very inconsistent player. The Raiders, clearly cratering at 1-5, didn't want to pay Cooper at the end of the season, and instead of playing out his fifth-year option, chose to move on and draft capital.

This is a very headscratching decision from the Dallas Cowboys.

Now Cooper is expected to come in and save the Cowboys season with just nine games left.

Pocahontas Descendant Calls on Warren to Apologize
Elizabeth Warren is taking a page from Trump's playbook, hitting back in personal terms and calling him "creepy" on Twitter . Identity politics made it possible for Warren to use race as a form of power to advance her career ambitions.

Jon Gruden continues to trade away the Oakland Raiders roster and now QB Dak Prescott gets another weapon on the offensive side of the ball. Cooper is the third wide receiver for whom the Cowboys have traded a first-round pick during the Jones era.

Whether McKenzie is on board with Gruden's overhaul is unknown - the GM on Monday did claim that he does not feel as though he's being pushed out of the way. However, learning a new offense in the middle of the season is a tall task and it will likely take time for Cooper to make an impact.
