American authorities shut down the nation's busiest border crossing at San Ysidro for several hours at the end of the Thanksgiving weekend. She had signed up for an interview with a USA asylum officer, the first step in the asylum application process - but the surge of migrants with the caravan meant that she would be waiting for weeks.

Secretary of the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Kirstjen Nielsen later issued a statement accusing the migrants of seeking to harm border patrol personnel "by throwing projectiles at them".

Some saw an opportunity to breach the crossing.

US military personnel and Customs and Border Protection officers gather along the southbound lanes of the San Ysidro port of entry, November 25, 2018, in San Diego, California, at the USA border with Mexico. "Those persons were stopped and turned back to Mexico".

Honduran Ana Zuniga, 23, also said she saw migrants opening a small hole in concertina wire at a gap on the Mexican side of a levee, at which point US agents fired tear gas at them.

Jose Mourinho: 'Alexis Sanchez not leaving'
Mourinho accused the quartet of lacking maturity and Ferdinand believes he was wrong to publicly question his own players. A Jesse Lingard side foot shot and an Anthony Martial header a minute later raised Old Trafford from its slumber.

"Children screamed and coughed". Fumes were carried by the wind toward people who were hundreds of feet away, not attempting to enter the U.S.

"We ran, but when you run the gas asphyxiates you more", Zuniga told the AP while cradling her 3-year-old daughter Valery in her arms.

Stephanie Leutert, director of the Mexico Security Initiative at the University of Texas at Austin, described the Remain in Mexico plan as a strategy to take away the ability of migrants to live and work in the USA while cases are processed. Violence erupted as Mexican police attempted to break up the protesters, and some made a run for the border between Tijuana and San Diego, California. All northbound and southbound traffic was halted for several hours. He could not see from his position if the migrants had managed to get across the actual border. The migrants in that episode also reportedly threw rocks and bottles at US authorities. But fewer than 100 asylum petitions a day are being processed at the San Ysidro port of entry.

Meanwhile, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham of SC, took to Twitter to accuse critics of having to "really hate President Donald Trump to not understand the problems created by the caravans".

"People had thought that they were going to open the gates, but that was a lie", Caballero said.

Watford 0 Liverpool 3: Reds stay on Manchester City's tail
That was not brilliant in the first half, we could have changed the rhythm and we had to change it much more often. Controlling it, staying in that mood, being positive in a situation, that's new for us and I like it a lot.
