When fully implemented, it will offer capacity and download speeds much faster than a 4G LTE network. However, since this is a proof-of-concept, we don't expect to see the Galaxy S10 or Galaxy S10 Plus in the flesh during the 5G demo this week.

Impact: Following a largely underwhelming year in terms of annual upgrades to its mobile portfolio, Samsung appears to be positioning the Galaxy S10 line as a major step forward and one that will attempt to cater to everyone in the hopes of strengthening the company's leading position in the smartphone market. Qualcomm quoted a 3X performance improvement over the last-generation 845, and up to a 2X improvement over competitors' 7nm processors. It certainly looks like Verizon and AT&T subscribers are going to be upgrading their devices in droves to experience the latest 5G standard. The feature is also available in phones like Vivo's Nex S and Xiaomi Mi 8, but those phones aren't officially supported in the U.S.

Qualcomm's upcoming flagship mobile platform will carry a more conventional branding and not the 8150 branding as previously rumored.

North American leaders sign NAFTA replacement deal
The trade deal was born out of 11th hour negotiations and acrimonious clashes over steel, security issues and supply management. But he also used the ceremony to call on Trump to remove steel and aluminum tariffs the USA slapped on Canada and Mexico.

Meanwhile, Samsung's chief competitor Apple is purportedly in no rush to incorporate 5G network speeds to its best-selling iPhone line-up.

There's no word on whether this new phone will be the Galaxy S10 with Samsung only revealing that the device will be released early in 2019.

Qualcomm's 3D Sonic Sensor will start showing up in phones, an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor that promises fast and accurate unlocking (superior to optical sensors).

Qualcomm today has officially announced its brand-new flagship smartphone processor, the Snapdragon 855. But it's also likely that the next Snapdragon chip from Qualcomm will power the remaining Galaxy S10 models.

"5G will usher in a new era of mobile connectivity, allowing people to connect to data, experiences and other people in ways never thought possible", said Brian Higgins, VP of Wireless Device and Product Marketing at Verizon. The company didn't expound upon this other than to say that it will bring "next level gaming" to a new generation of smartphones. It's promising to run through the specifics of the mobile platform tomorrow, on the second day of its Snapdragon Summit 2018.

Qualcomm announced the new products at its Tech Summit in Maui; we'll find out more as the conference continues.

Tottenham midfielder Dier: Tough losing - but at least Arsenal competitive
"Of course he [Juan Foyth] missed, he failed in this action [for Arsenal's third goal] but he was great in the game, fantastic". Arsenal , who won 4-2 at the Emirates , and Tottenham both have until 6pm on Thursday, December 6 to respond to the charge.

That include 5G connectivity, of course - Qualcomm touts the Snapdragon 855 as the first commercial mobile platform supporting multi-gigabit 5G. If you have any questions, let me know!
