And there you go, there's your new Alien game.
Before Christmas, it was revealed that 20th Century Fox had applied for a new trademark for an unannounced video game called Alien: Blackout.
Actor Kevin Spacey pleads not guilty to groping busboy
Spacey said he had no memory of the event, but publicly apologised before issuing an "absolute" denial of all other allegations. He said he had at least eight drinks with the actor, with Spacey buying a lot of them and telling him, "Let's get drunk".
For Alien: Blackout, players will have to balance the controls of the space station's emergency systems to attempt to guide their crew to safety and avoid contact with the Xenomorph.
SURVIVE OR DIE Using only the space station's limited power supply to operate a holographic map, surveillance cameras, and motion tracker, attempt to remain hidden and protect your crew from the flawless hunter in seven fear-inducing levels.
After months of speculation, Alien: Blackout has been officially announced - and wouldn't you know it's being developed exclusively for mobile. It's arguably the only game to truly recreate the atmosphere of the original 1979 movie, and the only game that deserves a character named Ripley - specifically, Amanda Ripley, daughter of Ellen and engineer of spaceships. "Watch. Play" though and while the play bit could easily refer to some sort of web or mobile game the fact that a console game is known to be in development gives plenty of reason to be optimistic. The uncertainty and unpredictability of both the alien and her crew can impose total defeat for Amanda and the entire station.
Activision Intends to Fire its Chief Financial Officer
Before working for Activision Blizzard, Neumann held multiple positions at Walt Disney in its theme-park and television divisions. In the interim, former CFO Dennis Durkin will be acting CFO and will regain the position permanently if Neumann's firing stands.
Using only the space station's limited power supply to operate a holographic map, surveillance cameras, and motion tracker, attempt to remain hidden and protect your crew from the ideal hunter in seven fear-inducing levels. One of its key features is described like this: "Every decision can lead to a different conclusion".
The listing also promises different strategies and endings. You don't see many big companies making premium (AKA paid upfront) mobile games these days, and having a set, seven-mission structure that changes based on how much of your crew survives is thematically appropriate.
