ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports the team will promote offensive coordinator Freddie Kitchens to the role.

Kitchens served as the Browns' offensive coordinator from Week 9 on this past season, and oversaw improvement in the team's offense, sparked by increased reliance on Baker Mayfield and Nick Chubb.

The Cleveland Browns have apparently found their next head coach. In eight games with Kitchens as OC, Mayfield threw for 2,254 yards, 19 touchdowns and eight interceptions and was sacked just five times.

Australia to 'consider' Saudi teen Rahaf Alqunun's asylum plea
The teen said she is seeking asylum in Australia, and Thai police have allowed her to meet with United Nations refugee officials. But after being detained by Thai authorities, she refused to board a flight back to Kuwait, barricading herself in a hotel room.

The 44-year old Kitchens becomes the ninth full-time head coach in the expansion era, and the fourth hire since the Haslams purchased the team in 2012. During that time, Browns rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield saw his numbers dramatically improve.

In addition to the Browns deciding to promote Kitchens to head coach, the team has chose to move on from Gregg Williams and his defensive staff, per ESPN.

"I like it here and I like it here a lot, and everybody around here knows that I like it here", Kitchens said last month.

According to Browns beat writer Mary Kay Cabot, "signs are pointing" to the Browns hiring offensive coordinator Freddie Kitchens as head coach. The 30th-ranked offense by DVOA upon Jackson and Haley's exit, the Browns eventually finished the season ranked 17th.

The Browns declined multiple requests from teams to interview Kitchens for offensive coordinator openings last week and now Kitchens gets to live his dream of leading his own team as a head coach. Williams was the first candidate to interview for the coaching vacancy. I'm not going to get involved.

This is significant because the Browns interviewed Indianapolis Colts defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus on Sunday, the day following the Indy's 21-7 wild-card win in which the defense put on an impressive showing.

Apple will reportedly align two cameras vertically and place another one between the two slightly off to the side. Whatever the case, we really hope that the new iPhone for 2019 doesn't look like this.
