Yellowstone Club community launches foundation to enrich local community
The Yellowstone Club announced a new foundation designed to support the Greater Big Sky Community, including the Bozeman area, through grants to eligible community groups. Yellowstone Club Community Foundation (YCCF), funded by Yellowstone Club members, ownership and management, will provide financial grants to non-profit organizations that focus on community service, education and conservation.
The Foundation’s mission is to support the Greater Big Sky Community, including the Bozeman area, through grants distributed to eligible community groups. The Foundation is privately funded and managed by Yellowstone Club members and management.
Boyne gives more than $30,000 to Haitian Relief
In response to the devastating earthquake in Haiti, Boyne Resorts committed a donation of $1 from every lift ticket sold Saturday, January 16, at its mountain resorts across North America. Donations were also accepted from the thousands of guests who visited the resorts during the holiday weekend and the combined contribution to American Red Cross and Canadian Red Cross totals $30,528.
Snomowbilers cited for encroaching wilderness area
The Gallatin National Forest has recently issued multiple citations to snowmobilers riding in the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness Area on the Gardiner Ranger District. Motorized use is not allowed in congressionally-designated wilderness areas. Winter adult education at Ophir/Lone Peak High School
Cooking with Nancy Butler of the Gourmet Gals in the RJS Building in TownCenter for another community cooking class held through Ophir’s Adult Education program. I will be teaching the 5 week series “Appetizers for Entertaining” - The series is $70 for all classes or $15 per class including food, drop-in’s welcome Monday evenings from 7-8:30pm.
